AS400 Developer 7675S
Location: Eastern Jackson County, MO
Description: The selected AS/400 Developer will be part of a team responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining mission-critical business applications. He/she will work with business and technical teams to review systems and processes, identify areas of risk, redundancy and inefficiency and design, develop and deploy applications that improve the overall company bottom line. This will include interpreting, discussing and presenting complex technology issues with and to the technical leadership and user community.
What will be expected:
The selected candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with AS/400 RPG III and IV.ILE to maintain existing and develop new applications including knowledge of iSeries architecture, capabilities and programming utilities. Experience with Oracle/JDEdwards World applications and data files is also expected. Any experience with Java, SQL or other common programming languages is a plus. Beyond technical skills, the candidate must have extensive experience in systems analysis with business and system-oriented analytical problem solving abilities. He/she should be detail-oriented and able to prioritize and handle multiple projects meeting assigned deadlines. He/she will need effective interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with peers, management and customers.
