Location: Overland Park, KS
Description: The Software Engineer will focus on the execution of established technical direction and specifications for the Core Framework development teams. The Software Engineer delivers according to the engineering cycle. Primary responsibilities:
- Executing the development roadmap for the client’s product framework and associated modules and extensions
- Meeting product performance requirements
- Maintaining state-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analysis methodologies
- Contributing to specific development best practices
- Conducting research to understand the product requirements for products, including target market environment, performance criteria and competitive issues
- Ownership of diagnosing and fixing critical production issues
What is expected:
Candidates without a 4-year college degree cannot be considered. The selected candidate must be an experienced software engineer who can work in a collaborative team environment. Solid experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques and formal enterprise delivery methodologies are necessary. Technically, he/she must be sound in the .NET Framework and Web development using ASP.NET /C# and related technologies such as JavaScript and HTML. Strong skills using SQL and ADO.NET to build the data access layer, develop stored procedures, packages, etc... is expected. The team builds both the framework and applications, so experience building cross-browser compatible .NET Web applications and solid experience with software development tools, configuration control tools, and design quality metrics is expected. Desired skills include relevant certifications (i.e. MCPD / MCAD, CISSP, CISA, etc…) as well as experience writing ASP.NET C# controls.
