Description: The selected .NET Developer will be responsible for designing, programming, debugging, testing, and supporting a variety of Web-based business applications and related databases. This position will involve working in a team environment within the IT department. Although the developer will need to be able to work well as a team member, he/she will also need to be able to work well on their own, depending on the scope of each project. This position will initially involve the creation and maintenance or Lotus Domino applications and later migrating of existing Web applications designed in Lotus Domino to the .NET platform.
What will be expected:
The successful candidate must have 3-5 years of professional experience building .NET Web-based applications using tools such as VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript ADO.NET, CSS, SQL Server and Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008. Experience in the areas of Lotus Notes Domino Web development, LotusScript, Web Agents, and integration with IBM iSeries DB2 systems would be advantageous. Any skills associated with Web site design such as knowledge of the internet and internet marketing, writing, HTML, graphic design, page layout and search engine performance design would be greatly desirable as well. He/she will have direct interaction with other department heads, so he/she must be able to represent themselves and the department in a professional manor. This will necessitate good communication and interpersonal skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is desired.
