.NET Developer 7757S

Location: Overland Park, KS

Description: The selected .NET Developer will provide development and design for legacy and packaged Microsoft Windows applications. He/she will be primarily working with a combination of legacy Warehouse Management Systems and Red Prairie WMS in a development, implementation and support role. The position includes developing and supporting integrations between external systems and the DLx product. Responsibilities will include

  • Gather requirements for new integrations or functionality to be added or modified with appropriate documentation.
  • Create technical designs for integrations, .Net or SQL Server components with appropriate documentation.
  • Develop or modify Red Prairie DLx Integrations, C#.Net, ASP.Net applications and Transact SQL stored procedures.
  • Conduct unit and system testing for all modifications.
  • Provide support for Red Prairie DLx Integrations and existing legacy integrations consisting of Microsoft-Access, Visual Basic and SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Troubleshoot data consistency and accuracy questions as raised by internal YRC
  • Logistics customer service representatives. Resolve the issues by executing database commands or by modifying existing processes.

What is expected:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an applications developer with specific experience in ASP.NET, C#.NET, XML parsing and Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. He/she will also need experience supporting or integrating with warehouse management, inventory control, ERP or Supply Chain Management applications. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and specifically Red Prairie are a big plus for this position. All new external development will be done in C#.NET. Other development may be done in Red Prairie specific tools. He/she also should have knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle database design and query tuning. The candidate will need strong analytical, design and troubleshooting skills. Must be hands-on, technically proficient, customer and service oriented. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is mandatory.
