SQL Server Developer 7692S

Location: Lee's Summit, MO

Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a small development team to assist in continuing data design and development efforts focusing on data migrations and ETL. He/she will help establish standard procedures for data design, normalization and migrations between development, QA and production environments. Responsibilities will include:

  • Implement ETL processes according to business rules using SSIS
  • Create T-SQL and CLR stored procedures, triggers, and functions
  • Follow standards and documentation procedures for database team
  • Understand business requirements to maintain data quality and report accuracy
  • Build reports using SSRS and other reporting tools

What is expected:

The selected candidate must have a Computer Science or Information Systems related degree and a minimum of 2 years experience developing applications in a SQL Server 2000/2005 environment with expertise coding with T-SQL, working with database objects, optimizing queries and ensuring data is scrubbed and normalized. He/she will participate in data migration and reporting strategies across the enterprise, so experience with SSIS and SSRS is necessary. He/she must have a strong understanding of data access using Microsoft technologies including foundational understanding of relational database design. Beyond technical skills, he/she much be able to communicate complex ideas and to design and document projects in a clear, concise way and effectively communicate and work in a team atmosphere across functional departments.
