Web Systems Administrator 7713S
Location: Kansas City, MO
Description: The selected System Administrator will work on projects of various scale in a team environment including developers, DBA's and QA personnel. He/she will be setting up .NET development and database environments, as well as performing most other common system administrative tasks on Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers (security, user and hardware management). A flexible work schedule is both a benefit and a requirement.
What is expected:
Experience as a Windows engineer with at least 2 years of administration experience with IIS 6 and a knowledge of Web hosting/system admininistration basics such as load balancing, SSL, host headers, redirects, user management, applying security updates, etc... An understanding of the components involved in release management (source control, build processes, deployment methods, file synchronization, roll-back and workflow) is also necessary along with DNS (including domain registration) and FTP site\server set-up. If he/she can work via SSH in a Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL environment as well that’s definitely a plus
Working knowledge of any or all of the following would be ideal:
- Java app servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat)
- VMWare Server or ESX
- Content Management Systems (MOSS\Sharepoint, Interwoven\TeamSite, Vignette, Ektron, Drupal)
- SubVersion (SVN) [source code control]
- CruiseControl, Nant, Robocopy, basic scripting skills
