RiverPoint’s County Recorder Web Site Solution Goes Live in Will County
Online Tool Provides Added Customer Convenience and Security
Chicago, IL (December 1, 2005) - RiverPoint Group LLC, a premier provider of information technology solutions and consulting services, today announced the successful “go-live” of its County Recorder Web Site Solution in Will County (IL). The new Web site solution launched by the Will County Recorder’s Office was developed by RiverPoint and provides secure, Web-enabled document retrieval for public and professional users.
RiverPoint Group, with a strong background in developing technology solutions for the public sector, was selected by Will County Recorder Laurie McPhillips to develop the system to provide searchers access to recorded documents over the Internet. RiverPoint’s County Recorder Web Site Solution utilizes emerging technologies and strategic integration with existing systems to create a complete solution for online document searching and retrieval. The service is offered at the Recorder's Web Site http://www.willcountyrecorder.com/.
“Bringing governmental services to the public in a convenient and efficient manner was our goal. County Recorders have a unique responsibility to efficiently record and provide convenient, public access to the recorded documents in the Recorder’s Office. Technology offers the opportunity for streamlined document recording, enhanced productivity and expanded access to document data and images. “For many years, the focus of technology investments has been on the digitizing and storage of recorded documents. Today, we see the focus shifting to leverage the data and images through technology investments that provide access to this information securely from outside the Recorder’s Office,” said Scott Bell, RiverPoint Vice President and Partner.
RiverPoint Group has implemented a similar solution for the County Recorder’s Office in DuPage (IL) and is currently developing a site for the LaSalle (IL) County Recorder, meeting the clients’ goals of optimizing daily operations and providing increased customer convenience and service.
Will County, located in northeastern Illinois, is the fastest growing county in Illinois and among the top ten fastest growing nationally. It is also the second largest county based on land area for the six county Chicago Metro region. The county seat is in Joliet located approximately 40 miles southwest of Chicago. The Will County Recorder’s Office is responsible for the accurate and timely recording, archiving and retrieving of all documents submitted for recording; with the majority involving the real estate transfers executed throughout the county. In 2004, the Will County Recorder’s Office processed 233,768 documents.
